Wireless and Analog
Our radio experience extends from shortwave to cellular, with particular emphasis on short-range wireless communications. The wireless design page illustrates the range of technologies and applications that we can cover.
In addition to wireless we also focus on analog design areas such as audio, battery and power management, sensors and instrumentation. Low-power design is a specialty. If your product needs to operate for years from a coin cell, we have the know-how to design a solution.
We have solid digital logic design experience from tiny, low-power, discrete gate designs through to complex programmable-logic devices from suppliers such as Altera and Xilinx.
We have experience with 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers from supplies such as Microchip (PIC), Texas Instruments (MSP430 and ARM Cortex-M3), Rabbit (2000 and 3000) and Atmel (AVR), and industry-standard parts such as the 8051.
Ionocom is a member of the Texas Instruments MSP430 Developer Network. This gives us direct access to information and support from Texas Instruments. We often receive advance information on upcoming product releases, giving our clients a time-to-market advantage.
We also have experience with 32-bit microprocessors and DSPs from suppliers such as Texas Instruments, Renesas and Freescale.
We have experience designing high-volume, low-cost consumer products. Production quantities have exceeded one hundred thousand units for several products we have designed. Conversely, many of the projects we tackle are lower-volume, high-value products for professional and industrial applications.
We can design to meet your cost targets and manufacturing process constraints. We are familiar with DFM (design for manufacture) and DFT (design for test) processes. We can design to meet regulatory requirements and have experience dealing with UL, CSA, FCC, CE and US DOD standards.
