Hardware design and development Next: Portfolio Ionocom is fully equipped to conduct most design and development work with a comprehensive set of digital, base-band and RF test equipment. Major items are listed in the following table.
Other meters, power supplies, counters, loads, signal generators, scopes and analysers are also available. Ionocom has a variety of engineering software design tools available including SPICE and HP Touchstone. Ionocom uses industry-standard CAD tools for schematic capture, simulation, PCB layout and mechanical design, ensuring good integration of all stages of the design and easy transfer of information to clients in their preferred format. Ionocom has facilities to produce prototype units, including leaded and surface mount assembly equipment, ESD control equipment and optical inspection equipment. Testing All Ionocom's core RF test equipment is HPIB controllable. Ionocom's staff have extensive experience writing and using automated test programs, using a variety of tools, including writing automated programs for regulatory compliance testing. All Ionocom's test equipment used for performance verification can be calibrated to NIST-traceable standards.
